Obituary for Christopher Lee Corum

Christopher Lee Corum
CORUM, CHRISTOPHER LEE, of Maynardville, was given life the 25th day of March 1989, and entered eternal life the 12th day of March 2014, where he was greeted with great comfort, peace and happiness by his heavenly father encamped around angels and if there is a fishing hole or ball field in heaven that’s where you’ll find him awaiting family, friends and ball teams. Chris was also greeted by his brothers: Rocky D. Corum, Ricky D. Corum, unborn child Corum; grandparents: Amos H Corum, Sr, Christine Corum, Allen J. Bell (A.J.); four unborn nieces/nephews King; cousins, Robin R. Corum, Casey D. Corum; several extended family. Chris leaves his undying devoted love, laughter and memory to his one and only first love, lifelong truelove of his life Kristina M Davis, his pride, joy, world, heart, soul and legacy to children: Ethan R. Corum, Summer N.A. Corum, Hunter Z. Corum. He also leaves to cherish his memory best friend’s Mother: Loretta A. Corum; Daddy, Ricky D. Corum to whom he was the moon, stars and light of their lives, without him their home will be empty missing the laughter and joy he brought each time he stepped into the room. Where he was, there his family was also. He loved his only living grandmother, Glenda S. Bell. He was more than a brother, he was their best friend and the glue that binds them together leaving them the best memories a brother could leave. Brother; Jonathan l. Corum (Jonny-B); sisters, Angela R. Courm-King (Rene’), Sharon R. Corum-Vialuch (sissy); brothers by marriage, Michael G. King, Steven M. Vialuch, Ronnie L. Davis. He was more than a proud uncle he was their brother, mentor, and friend to: Destiny R.H. King, Devin M. King, Darrin B. King, Amanda J.D. Nance, Rachel M. Withrow whom he watched grow and grew up with, he loved spending time with them, he would find a sweet honey hole to take Devin, Darrin and Ethan fishing and they would try to out fish the other. He tried keeping the boys away from his nieces and would chase them with frogs, worms all the things they hated and screamed about but mostly he would talk to them about walking a straight line and choosing the right date. He even tried grounding the girls once! He played ball with them and would let Devin and Darrin fill in for players when one was absent. Recently he got Ethan an outfit to match his uniform at the ball games for his softball team Steady Strokin who will be hanging his practice jersey at the ball games in his honor. He taught the kids to do all the fun silly things parents couldn’t stand but knew wed laugh later. He loved four wheeling with Kristina and the kids as well as his nephews and nieces. Paintball fights with the nieces and nephews till the yard was painted different colors! He was a proud great uncle to Trenton M.X. King, Dakota N.J. Withrow, Zoey A. Nance, Abigail R. Nance in which he loved going down the homemade slip and slide with all the kids, made with a tarp, water, baby oil and vegetable oil! Special friends that were like his brothers: Jerry L. Webb, Josh Wynn, Chris Wolfenbarger, Chris Smith, Eric Smith, Michael Smith. Chris also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family to remember the beauty of his life in which he loved dearly and enjoyed spending time, love and laughter with. Chris wasn’t just an ordinary guy, he was a man that was loved by many and all that knew him and loved God and his family more than anything. He would help his dad at a young age in the yard or on cars working outdoors and when he became of age he went to work with his dad at Holston Gases, Inc. where he was employed seven years, where he made many friends and family there and his brother Jon soon followed. Today Holstons flag stands half-staff in his honor. He was a family man that made sure his wife and kids had everything they needed and wanted, his family was his life, world, heart and soul. He did everything in his power to make not just his family happy but everyone he net. Chris never knew a stranger. He’d help you when he could and if he couldn’t he’d find a way. He never left you until you were smiling. He loved Rene’s famous turkey wraps, she gave him the recipe but he said “it’s your touch sister, you gotta make em” so she did just to see him smile. He liked hiding out at sissy’s to take a break or play hooky for a day just to talk and have some alone time. He enjoyed just getting in the truck with Jon and riding around having brotherly talks and being silly at red lights and drive thru. He had fun taking Devin, Darrin & Ethan to the store close by to get pizza to bring back for the family. He loved Mikes grilling and to watch wrestling with him Steven and his dad, he would laugh at how dad would get excited over a UFC match and talk about it for days. He loved to take trips to the mountains where the family would grill out. Chris was the guy that would run out in 5 inches of snow in nothing but his boxers just to make you laugh, he knew how to have fun and live life but he didn’t just live life for himself he lived for his family and friends Chris lit up the darkest room with his presence just by his entrance. His smile and laughter could go on for miles but will live forever. You couldn’t help but laugh when you were with him, he’d make sure by time he left your side you were smiling and happy. He’d call throughout the day just to check on his mom, wife and kids. He was a man that appreciated life, was full of life and loved life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment with him. Chris would get you on the “HEY” game, you know he did! Then there was the circle below the belt, all the funny looks strangers would give because only you and he would get it! To know Chris was to love Chris, he always chose to see the best in others, he would go beyond giving you the shirt off of his back, he’d give you someone else’s off of theirs too. Lol. Really, he would spend his last dime to give to anyone in need or just because. Remember Chris loved you and would want you to know he loved and cherished God and his family and that life is short, live it to the fullest, be happy, keep smiling and forever let your love and laughter be eternal.
