Obituary for Betty Rowe Ramsey (Fields)

Ramsey, Betty Rowe-age 79 of Sharps Chapel, born September 18, 1934, passed away peacefully August 20, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was saved at an early age and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents: Samuel and Mary Fields; sister: Catherine Fields, first husband: Rev. Claude Rowe; second husband: Herman Ramsey; four step-children Claudia Brantley, Charles Rowe, Helen Eastridge and Jim Rowe; son-in-law: Troy Brantley; step-grandson: Michael Brantley. Survived by daughter and son-in-law: Marie and Steven “Charlie” Munsey; grandsons: Justin (Allison) Bailey, John (Lauren) Bailey; two great-grandchildren: Brystol and Jaxson Bailey, all of whom she adored and all of Sharps Chapel. Brothers: George (Louise) Fields of New Market, Robert (Opal) Fields of Strawberry Plains; sister: Mary Fields of Maynardville. Six step-grandchildren: Michele, David, Betty, Eugene, Martha and Gail. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Special thanks to Dr. Matthew Gent and Suncrest Home Health and Hospice; also thanks to Michele Fleming, Patty Loving, Shelia Collins, DeAnna Loy, Trish Perry and Trish Masingo. Funeral services 2 P.M. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating with music by the Betterway Quartet. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Pallbearers: Justin Bailey, John Bailey, David Roe, Michael Fleming, Mark Fields, Joey Fields; Honorary Pallbearers: Allen Buckner, Pete Dyke and Randy Bailey. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Friday at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville. .
