Obituary for Earl Loop

EARL LOOP - age 79, of Corryton, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday,
August 23, 2014. He was a member of Atkins Baptist Church. He was a truck driver who owned his own truck and was leased to Hames Trucking for 32 years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He was our "rock" and our "hero". He lived for and worked hard for his family. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Zoni Loop; brother, Roger Loop; sisters, Juanita Loop Jessee, Elsie Loop Haynes, Helen Loop Carmon. Survived by loving wife of 62 years Lucille; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Donnie Hodges, Karen and Carl Booker, Leisa and Danny Housewright; grandchildren and spouses, Shane and Meleaia Smith, Susie and Gary Tolliver, Sheree Booker, Chris and Elizabeth Housewright, Chassidy and David Gunter; great grandchildren and spouses, Adam Smith, Corey and Emily Tolliver, Austin Crowder, Chase Tolliver, Jayden Housewright, twins Paxon and Henley Housewright; great-great grandchildren, Ceegian Tolliver, Emerie Tolliver; sister, Lois Loop Longmire. His special friend "Moe" was his buddy and rode with him and kept him company for 14 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary located in Maynardville, Tennessee. Funeral services to follow with Rev. Gary Beeler and Rev. Tim Inklebarger officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary for procession to Greenwood Cemetery for graveside services. Papaw will be carried to his final resting place by his grandsons, great grandsons, great-great grandson, and special nephew, Jeff Williams.
