Obituary for James Richard "J. R." Rector

Mr. James Richard (J.R.) Rector-age 82 if Corryton passed away Wednesday evening, August 27, 2014 in Knoxville. He was a member and deacon of Union Baptist Church. Retired truck driver and avid gardener. Preceded in death by wife: Juanita on August 26, 1989; parents: Ray and Grace Rector of Jefferson City. Survived by son: Jerry Rector of Corryton; Daughter and husband: Linda and Rick Jenkins of Maryville. Sister: Blanch (Robert) Kelly; Brothers: Bobby (Barbara) Rector, Billy Rector all of Jefferson City. Devoted friend: Keith Armstrong. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services 7 P.M. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jack Walker officiating. Interment 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:15 A.M. Wednesday at the cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville
