Obituary for Hazel Bailey Munsey

Hazel Bailey Munsey-age 99 of Maynardville, born September 9, 1915 in the Black Fox Community of Grainger County passed away 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. She was saved at the early age of 11 and baptized into the Black Fox Primitive Baptist Church where she remains a member. Preceded in death by sons, F. T. Munsey, Billy Wayne Munsey; great-grandson, Kevin Munsey; parents, Frank and Jane (Munsey) Bailey, five brothers and four sisters. Survivors: daughters-in-law, Velma Munsey, Janice Munsey; four grandsons, Larry, Danny, Rev. Douglas and Jimmy Munsey; five great-grandchildren, Latesha, Devin, Tyler, Donnie and Michelle Munsey; four great-great-grandchildren, Hannah and Kaylee Johnson, Derek and Daniel Nicley. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday with funeral services following at 7 p.m. Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating. Music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, Cabbage Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet by 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home for procession. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
