Obituary for Wanda L. Whitson (Collins)

Wanda Lou Collins Whitson-age 67 of Maynardville, born March 22, 1948 passed from this Earth suddenly Thursday evening, May 14, 2015. Beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother with a diverse passion for life. She loved sewing, quilting, baking, cooking and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Whitson; mother, Anna Adell Ford Collins; father, Wren Collins; brothers, Johnny Collins and Jimmy Collins.

She is survived by her son, Brian Scott Whitson; sisters, Evelyn Sands, Shirley Hickle; brother, Clay Collins; sisters, Lorene Collins Wyrick, Brenda Relford, Wrena Garner, and youngest brother, Terry Collins along with many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews and an extensive extended family.

The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 with a brief memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Darrell Williams officiating with music by the Williams Family. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
