Mr. Sherman Jacob McHone-age 81 of Powder Springs went to be with the Lord 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Willow Ridge Center, Maynardville. Preceded in death by parents, John and Ethel (Evans) McHone; sisters, Ithel Capps, Pauline Perkey; brothers, John David McHone, J. L. McHone. Survivors: special sister, Helen Burnette and husband, Carl of Luttrell; sister-in-law, Velma McHone; brother-in-law, Frank Capps. Several nieces and nephews to include special niece, Kathy Horvath. The family would like to express the heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Physicians Regional Medical Center, Caris Hospice and to all the employees of Willow Ridge Center for the wonderful care provided to Sherman during his illness. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Ray Headrick officiating with music by The McHone Family and The Newcomb Family. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville.
