Obituary for Geraldine "Juke" Houston (Greene)

Geraldine “Juke” Houston-age 84 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Thursday morning. June 25, 2015 at Willow Ridge Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, Lewis and Hattie Greene; son, John Houston; daughter, Pat Hatfield; grandchildren, Ricky Houston, Brittney Cheatham; brothers, Jonah Greene, Jim Greene; sisters, Evelyn Shumate, Georgia and Marie Greene. Survivors: son, Rick Houston and wife, Kathy of Maynardville; daughter-in-law, Sissy Houston of South Carolina; sister, Eula Gray “Bow” Houston McCarter of Maynardville; special granddaughter and caregiver, Kayla Neely of Corryton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, Greene Family Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Chris Neely, Adam Brantley, Eric Houston, Brian Houston, Willie Houston, Bo Cheatham, Cody Cheatham and John Hatfield.Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home for procession to the cemetery. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
