Obituary for Opal Pauline Monroe (Yadon)

Opal Pauline Yadon Monroe-age 94 of Powder Springs went Home Saturday, July 18, 2015. She was born July 7, 1921 in Black Fox to the late Oscar Yadon and Martha Campbell Yadon (Perry). Pauline was a member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church. She worked at Standard Knitting Mill for 19 years. She read constantly and was always eager to learn. She held lively discussions with Shirley every day. In addition to her parents, Pauline was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Monroe; her sisters, Anna Yadon Zachary, Dorthy Perry Wright, Dora Perry Donehew and her step brother, Herbert Perry. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 3 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Ray Headrick officiating. Interment will follow at Doyle Wayne Needham Cemetery, Powder Springs. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
