Obituary for Jerry Brantley Munsey

Jerry Brantley Munsey-age 89 of Maynardville left his earthly life behind to go home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015. He was a decorated U. S. Army war veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Welcoming him home are: parents, Scott and Mintie Perry Munsey; sisters, Dora (Joe) Crawford, Lena (Clead) Rose, Thelma (William) Smith; brothers, Joe Munsey, J. Will (Imogene) Munsey. Left behind to celebrate his life are the love of his life: former wife, Shirley R. Munsey; daughter, Teresa Ann Munsey; brother, Frank G. Munsey; grandsons, Jason R. Staley, Aaron B. Staley, and Joshua L. Bowman; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brandon Staley (Jason); Alden and Connor Staley (Aaron); Noah, Cherish, BriAysa and Elijah C. Bowman (Joshua). Many nieces, nephews and friends including special friends, Coy and Doris Graves; Ruby Clay. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 with funeral services at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Military graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Monroe Cemetery, Maynardville conducted by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Musical tribute performed by nephew, Dennis Smith. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
