Mrs. Cecilia Brantley (Mamaw C)-age 97 of Maynardville went to Heaven on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. She was the oldest living member of Fairview Baptist Church, Tater Valley Road, Luttrell. Preceded in death by husband, Floyd Brantley; son, Ronnie Brantley and his wife, Louella; son-in-law, Robert Bailey; parents, Andy and Cora Walker; brothers, Glen, Dewayne and Houlk Walker; sister, Virgie Gabriel. Survived by devoted children, Imogene (Duck) Munsey, Clarence (Nancy) Brantley, Linda (Jim) Strange, Carolyn (Reuben) Stansberry, Frances Bailey. 13 loving grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren. Loving siblings, Earl Walker, Irene Nelson, Ethel Dennis, Pauline Emery, Joann Ashburn, Zola Mae Henegar; her three caregivers, Mary, Jeanie and Trish. She was also loved by her many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, with her grandson, Rev. Dean Brantley and Rev. Richard Nicley officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015, Blue Springs Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers: Great-Grandsons; Honorary Pallbearers: Grandsons. ”We will celebrate her life by loving others the way she did!” Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
