Johnny Lee  Jones
Johnny Lee Jones-age 54 of Knoxville, born June 16, 1961 passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 after a long battle with cancer at his sister’s home surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by father, Curtis Lee Jones; grandparents, Ada Anderson, Bertie and Harley Seymour. Survived by wife, Janice Jones; children, Christy Bailey, Cynthia Foxx, Kimberly Jones, Cody Mink and Charity Jones; mother, Bertha Humphrey; sisters, Helen Cox, Evie Vaulton, Barbara Lay, Mary Hardin, Sherry Jones-Hilton; brother, William (Bubba) Jones. He had ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. He will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank Avalon Hospice and their staff, especially, Randy, Jessica, Kim and Patty for all that they did for Johnny. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jerry Castle, Rev. Eddie Williams officiating with music by Dollie June Merritt. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: James Bernard, Chris Shepard, T. J. Stafford, Brandon Stafford, Joe Baker, Doug Williams, Randy Williams and Shaun Hardin. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
