Obituary for Reed Parks Campbell

Reed Parks Campbell-66 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at North Knoxville Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by father, Carl Clitis Campbell; grandparents, Zeno and Margaret Peters, Wayne and Viola Campbell; uncles and aunts, Demmer and Eder Peters, Coster Peters, A. C. Campbell, Richard Smith and Robert Campbell; father-in-law, Kenneth Hatfield; mother-in-law, Frances Carmon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Beverly (Cookie) Campbell; daughters, Jennifer (Dustin) Melton and their children, Whitney and Reed of Knoxville; Heather (Mike) Weiner and their children, Hannah and Emily of Pittsburgh, PA; son, Jeff Campbell of Tampa, Florida. Mother, Marie (Peters) Campbell of Sharps Chapel; sister, Lois Campbell of Maynardville along with her daughters, Eva Atkins of Nashville, Tessa (Kevin) Warren and their children, Rafe and Cael of Nashville; her son, Jim Atkins of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Aunts, Faye Smith and Bertie Campbell of Maynardville; aunt and uncle, Kayo and Jean Campbell of Sharps Chapel.
Reed lived the life that every 7 year old boy dreams of; he was a farmer, a soldier, a policeman and a biker. He was always cheerful and never met a stranger, so he had many friends. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed. Reed was an U. S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, a Gideon, a member of the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard and retired K.P.D.
The family will receive friends 6-9 P.M. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary where the K.P.D. Honor Guard will serve as casket guards.
Military graveside service and interment 11 A.M. Saturday, August 29, 2015, Hansard Chapel Cemetery, Maynardville, Rev. John Teffeteller officiating. Military honors conducted by the Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard.
