Obituary for Helen Louise Woods
Helen Louise Woods-age 87 of Mooresboro, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Wendover Hospice House. She was born November 1, 1928 in Union County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Charles Esco and Verdie (Kitts) Woods and was a member of Goodes Grove Baptist Church, Mooresboro, NC. Helen enjoyed working in her yard, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her family: Inus Kitts of Mooresboro, NC; Bill and Hermalene Kitts of Knoxville; Ray and Jean Kitts of Knoxville; Mike and Amy Kitts of Campobella, SC; Alicia Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC; Brian and Rebecca Faulkner of Heiskell; Shane Kitts of Knoxville; Michael and Mallori Owens of Shelby, NC; Sam and Kayla Kitts Campobello, SC; Emily Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC; Jacob Fortenberry of Mooresboro, NC; Madisyn Owens of Shelby, NC and Gracie Kate Kitts of Campobello, SC.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel, 2518 West Dixon Blvd., Shelby NC 28152, Rev. Robbie Hensley officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Goodes Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 810 Goodes Grove Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
The body will be returned to Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville. Graveside services and interment 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating.
Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
