Obituary for Bobby E. Donehew

Bobby E. Donehew-age 86 of Powder Springs went home to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, November 22, 2016 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Washburn and was saved in 1942 at Powder Springs Baptist Church. Bob was a retired employee of White Lily Foods, Knoxville. He loved hanging out with his buddies at Washburn Deli. Preceded in death by parents, Otis and Rama Donehew; brother, William Donehew; sister, Linda Johnson and granddaughters, Brittany and Whitney Acuff.

Survivors: son, Rev. Gary and Janice Donehew of Washburn; daughter, Belinda and Donald Acuff of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Cynthia (Ron) Milligan, Casey (Derek) Williams, Carrie (Blake) Harrell, Rev. Daniel Acuff, Bethany (Rev. Tyler) Clay. Seven Great-grandchildren. Sisters, Blanche Thomas and Eileen Chapman, both of Powder Springs; brother, Leroy Donehew of Nashville. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Randy Beeler, Rev. Kevin Sexton, Rev. Joe Nicely officiating with music by Rev. Jerry Epperson family. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, Dyer Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Saturday to go in procession. Pallbearers: Barry Beeler, Tim McGinnis, Greg McGinnis, Greg Hurst, Lee Ed Hurst, Jason Wallace, Rick Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers: Gerald McGinnis, John Beeler, Woody Nicely, Randy Frye. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of Gary and Janice Donehew, Washburn. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
