Dwayne E.  McCarter
Dwayne E. McCarter-age 71 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, May 7, 2018 at his home. He attended The Way of the Cross Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of McCarter Seamless Guttering of 46 years. Dwayne generously served his community and children of the area as a lifelong member of the Union County Optimist Club. He was a leader and official through his service on various community committees and the Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in death by daughters, Kristel Dawn McCarter and Lisa S. Turner; parents, Floyd McCarter, Gladys and John Rathbone; sister, Carol Sue Barksdale.

Survivors: wife of 31 years, Patricia McCarter; sons and daughters-in-law, Victor (Barbara) McCarter, Marty (Blythe) McCarter, Gregory (Robin) Gentry; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda D. Hobock, Sirena (Thomas) Cooke, Vivian McCarter, Kristi (James) Burbage. Seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Brother, Loyd McCarter; sister, Louise Frazier; twin-brother, Wayne McCarter; sister, Linda Faye Hughes. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and other family.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 and Friday, May 11, 2018 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Pete Daniels, Rev. Wayne Jones officiating with music by the Sherritze Family. Interment 12 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2018, Alder Branch Cemetery, Sevierville. Pallbearers: James Burbage, Darryl Frazier, Marty McCarter, Vivian McCarter, Thomas Cooke, Victor McCarter. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
