Obituary for Mack Norman Gore

Mack Norman Gore-age 88 of Luttrell passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his home with his family. He was born in Tabor City, NC on August 3, 1928. He was a retired truck driver from Roadway Express and served his country in the Merchant Marines. He was a man who was not afraid to conquer any task. He loved helping everyone, especially his family and friends. He was well known for telling jokes, often repeating them over and over again. He was a man dearly loved and depended upon by his family. He will be greatly missed until we see him again.

He was preceded in death by his father Mack Dennis Gore and mother Docia Lee (Squires) Gore, baby sister Clara Bowe Gore, sister Elizabeth Pearlene Milligan, brother William Earl Gore and his wife Ingeborg Antonia (Barr) Gore.

Survived by his wife Margaret Ellaree (Atkins) Gore, the love of his life for more than 68 years, daughters Linda Gore Akin and Kathy Gore Satterfield (husband Doyle Satterfield), sons, Dennis Norman Gore (fiancé Joy Robas) and Douglas Gore (wife Robyn Gore). Grandchildren Dr. Angela Akin, Brent Akin (Sarai), Chad Gore (Rebecca), Daniel Gore (Sarah), Sam Gore (Brittany), Jessica Burress (Tim), Shannon Ubaldini ( Michael J), Ashley Cranford (Dale), Melissa Gore and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived also by siblings Adazena Gore Watts, James L. Gore (Margie Akers Gore), nieces and nephews include Michael Spivey, Tammy Dorman, Barry and Jerry Milligan, Teena Miller, and Robin Zachary.

Pallbearers: Chad Gore, Daniel Gore, Sam Gore, Brent Akin, Michael Ubaldini, Tim Burress, and Dale Cranford.

Family will receive friends at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville on Wednesday, April 5th, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Reverend Glenn Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 6th to proceed to Wyrick Cemetery for burial at 11:00 AM. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
