Obituary for Cleo Mae Nicely

Cleo Mae Brown Nicely-age 95 of Halls, formerly of Washburn, born May 11, 1923 went to be with our Lord and Saviour Friday, December 28, 2018 at home with her daughter and family. Cleo was a longtime member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Denver Nicely; parents, Willie and Molly Brown; brothers, Lon, Neal, Wayne and Glen Brown.

Survived by daughter, Imogene (Tulley) Widner; raised by Den and Cleo, Doris (Ray) Duncan; granddaughters, Scarlet (Edward) Haynes and Wendy (Darrell) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Amanda Haynes and Adam (Jessica) Haynes; great-great-grandchildren, Ella Rose and Hazel Mae Haynes. Sisters and brother, Gracie (Hubert), Gloria Jean (Sam) and Howard (Louise). The family would like to express their special thanks to Smokey Mountain Hospice for their excellent care. Thank you, Kierra, Kendra and Michelle for all that you did.

The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 7 P.M., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Imogene, Scarlett, Wendy, Doris and Emily. Interment 11 A.M. Monday, Boruff Cemetery, Washburn. Pallbearers: Edward Haynes, Darrell Johnson, Don Duncan, Ray Duncan, Kendall Johnson, Buford Braden, Gary Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers: Emory Valley Baptist Church Deacons.
