Obituary for Laura Michelle Wilkerson

Laura Michelle Wilkerson-age 42 of Powder Springs passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home. She was a member of Johnson’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Wayne Wilkerson; son, Terry Wayne Wilkerson; mother, Kathy Kay Bell; father, Earl Collins.

Survivors: daughters, Sarah Spiva and husband, Ricky of Knoxville; Linda Fultz and husband, Jason; Kathy Wilkerson; Valerie Wilkerson, all of Powder Springs; son, Christian Wilkerson of Powder Springs; one special grandchild, Gracelyn Robinson; step-father, Terry Bell of Washburn; brothers, Rodney Collins and wife, Barbara; Chris Collins, all of Powder Springs; sister, Trish Armes and husband, Ricky of Blaine; step-sister, Leandrea Osentoski of Powell. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Two special friends of Tennova Hospice, Angie and Stefini. The family would like to express their special thanks to the congregation of Johnson’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church for all their help during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2019 with funeral service to follow at 7 P.M., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. James Whitson, Rev. Greg Hurst officiating with music by Johnson’s Chapel Church Singers. Interment 2 P.M. Wednesday, Bethany Cemetery on Raccoon Valley Road. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 P.M. Wednesday to go to the graveside. Pallbearers: Travis Bell, Rodney Collins, Mitchell Majors, Randy Wilkerson, Ricky Spiva, Larry Lynn Hickman, Terry Bell, Justin Collins. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the funeral home for expenses.
