Obituary for Barbara Jean "Chic" Greene Booker
Barbara Jean “Chic” Booker-age 85 of Washburn passed away Friday morning, January 20, 2023 at Ridgeveiw Terrace in Rutledge. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Chic was preceded in death by husband, Darrell Booker; daughter, Cathy Reynolds; parents, Hugh and Martha Greene; brothers, Jim Greene, Rick Greene, sisters, Shirley Perry, Peggy Dalton and Beverly Clapp. Nephew, Tim Greene; sister-in-law, Otella Booker.
Survivors: special daughter, Amanda Clapp who she loved very much; sister, Brenda and Wade Beason; brother, Randy and Pauline Greene; sisters-in-law, Linda Greene, Barbara and Joey Bailey; brother-in-law, Kenny Clapp. Nieces, Kim and Scott Partin, Paula and Ralph Bowlin, nephews, Calvin and Chelsey Greene; Tyler Greene, Derek Dalton, Petey and Cecilia Greene, Logan Partin. We would like to thank all the special caregivers of SCHAS and Terry Anderson that have helped with her care at home.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2023 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Bob Zavattieri, Rev. Gary Beeler officiating. Interment 12 p.m. Monday, Fairview Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 11 a.m. Monday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Petey Greene, Calvin Greene, Tyler Greene, Brad Hill, Joey Bailey, Josh Bowlin. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
