Obituary for Betty Jo (Nicley) West

Betty Jo (Nicley) West-age 78 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Monday morning, February 21, 2022 at home. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Highland Springs Baptist Church in Blaine. Preceded in death by husband, William Paris (Bill) West; parents, Oddie C., and Ethel Trula Mae Nicley; brothers, Carson Nicley, Brownie Nicley, Mark Nicley; sisters, Bessie McMahan; Bonnie Lorene Evans.

Survivors: daughters, Teresa Mabe and husband, Steve of Rutledge; Tammy Corum and husband, Tim of Blaine; Nicole Messer and husband, Aaron of Knoxville; son, Robby Dozier and wife, Alana of Blaine. Grandchildren, Noah Messer, Malachi (Jennifer) Messer, Ambra (Corey) Turner, Trista Jo (Jeff) Armes, John (Krista) Parrott, James (Lindy) Parrott, Tyler Corum, Trey Corum, Josie Mabe, Ashley Thornburg, Alexis (Logan) Hillard, Daniell Thornburg, Timmy (Amanda) Corum, Ashley (Brad) Kennemore, Several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sister, Mildred Bailey; brother, James Nicley. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of U. T. Hospice Care.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Joe Bailey, Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at Rose Cemetery, Tazewell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 9:45 a.m. Friday to proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers: Noah Messer, Malachi Messer, Jonathan Parrott, James Parrott, Tyler Corum, Trey Corum. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
