Bill Chesney-age 73 of Luttrell went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was a member of Mountain View Church of God in Luttrell. Bill was an excavator and heavy equipment operator along with being a farmer. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Erica Buckner; parents, Horace and Bertha (Bailey) Chesney; sisters, Mary Lee Chesney, Betty Chesney, Kate Larmer, Gladys Farmer; brothers, Richard “Dick” Chesney, Frank Chesney and Roy Chesney.

Survivors: wife of 55 years, Dolly (Tharp) Chesney; daughter, Susan Lohrber and husband, A.J.; son, Jeff Chesney and wife, Kathy; grandson, Ryan Chesney and fiancée, Gracie Smith; sister, Daisy Dyer. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb, Rev. Paul Thomas Hughes officiating with music by Paul and Mavis Hughes, Delica Hughes and Andie Summers, Wynette Kirkland. Interment 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet by 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in the procession.
