Obituary for Carolyn Faye Wallace
Wallace, Carolyn Faye (Grubb)-age 71 of Luttrell, passed away at Ft. Sanders Medical Center on Friday December 11, 2020, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born in Knox County on May 25, 1949. She retired in 2012 from Pinky’s Auto Sales & Mufflers where she enjoyed working with her son and husband. Carolyn also served two terms as the Mayor of Luttrell, being the first female ever elected to that office. During her tenure as Mayor some of her noted accomplishments included the purchase of the Luttrell Town Hall Meeting Building, forming a Volunteer Fire Department, purchased a Fire Truck for the department, and forming the City Police Department just to mention a few of her many accomplishments. Carolyn has been 100% completely healed of all pain and illnesses. She entered Jesus arms at 1:53PM and now walks the Streets of Pure Gold and will forever be singing his praises with love ones gone on before her. Those loves ones include; Father, Carroll and Step-Mother Bee Grubb of Knoxville, Mother, Ada Elizabeth and Step-Father Ted Murphy of Knoxville, Husband, Dennis (Dink) Wallace and her Beloved Son Dennis (Pinky)Wallace, Jr. both of Luttrell.
She is Survived by: Children, Peggy (Mark) Adcock of Clinton, Denise (Daryl) Lewis of Jackson, DeAnna (Greg) Webb of Maynardville and Tammy Wallace, Daughter in Law. Grandchildren, Dustin (Molly) Waggoner of Meriden, Kansas, LaShea (Jeremy) Walters of Maynardville, Rodney (Fiancé’ Tanya Grizzel) Malone of Maynardville, Blake (Sommer) Malone of Knoxville, Shelly (Donny) Munsey of Maynardville, Payton Wallace (Fiancé Chris Elliott) of Maynardville, DJ Wallace of Maynardville, Jerica Johnson, DJ and Tanner Lewis all of Jackson, TN. 16- Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. Brother and Sister-in-Laws include: Norman (Rose) Wallace of Luttrell, Patti Wallace of Maynardville, Brenda Collins of Maynardville, Imogene Parker of Corryton, Pat Wallace and Marie Wallace both of Knoxville.
Due to Covid-19, Graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2020 at Skaggs Cemetery, Maynardville, Rev. Tom Berry officiating with music by family. Pallbearers: Donny Munsey, Mark Adcock, Jeremy Walter, Chris Elliott, DJ Wallace and Greg Webb.
