Obituary for Charles Winfred Thomley Jr.

Charles W. Thomley, Jr.-age 76 of Mobile, Alabama, currently of Heiskell, Tennessee passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at his home. Charles was born October 12, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama. He worked with Ernest Construction with his father for many years. Later he opened a business on the beach in Perdido Key, known as The Tropical Cantina. He then later traveled for Proctor and Gamble as Mr. Clean. He did multiple promotions with them over the years across the states and Calgary, Canada. He loved his animals and buying and driving old cars. He loved old time Rock and Roll. He could make anyone smile when he sang the Mr. Clean Jingle. He is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Annette Thomley; nephew, Robert McKinley.

He leaves behind his son, Charles Thomley, III; daughter, Aimee Zemke and his nine grandchildren, Marie, Jordan, Sydney, Wesley, Levi and Kaylee Zemke; River, Jada and Rhemy Thomley. He also leaves behind his sister, Pat McKinley and his niece and nephews, Darlene Cook, Dennis McKinley and Charlie McKinley.

The family will receive friends 12 noon till 1 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Monday at New Testament Baptist Church, 9325 Old Maynardville Pike, Maynardville, Tennessee, Pastor Mike Samples officiating with music by his daughter and granddaughters and the church. Eulogies will be offered by his Grandsons. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Family and friends. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville, Tennessee.
