Claude Johnny Cosby, Jr.-age 72 of New Tazewell passed away peacefully Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his home. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Kenya Bree.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Freda Sue Cosby; children, Sabrina Wilkerson and husband, Timothy of Plainview; Brettia Cosby and wife, Jennifer Cosby of Berea, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jazlyn Brock and husband, Josh; Chasity Wilkerson and fiancé, Dillon Dyer of Plainview; great-grandchildren, Carter and Ryker Brock, Colten Dyer, Brantley and Emma Burbage, Sophia Arismendez; mother-in-law, Loretta Mitchell; brother-in-law, Stan Mitchell. Several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to Amedisys Home Health and Smokey Mountain Hospice; special friend, Tina Bailey.

Graveside service and interment 4 P.M. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Wilkerson/Cosby Cemetery, New Tazewell near the family home, Rev. Jason Dyer and Rev. Toby Dykes officiating. Pallbearers: Dillon Dyer, Joshua Brock, Timothy Wilkerson, Austin Dyer, Cody Craig, Heavy Bailey, and Randy Wilkerson.
