Obituary for Cliff Lanford

Cliff Lanford, age 67 from Maynardville. Cliff was a perfectionist and capable of making, building and repairing most anything. He was lucky to have found his soulmate in Donna Jean, his wife of 37 years. Growing up he played football, had a paper route (always a worker), set and held water skiing records when he was 11 years old, raced motorcycles (411 Raceway) and was even in a Kerns Bread commercial jumping a formidable hill at the old Walker Springs area in Knoxville, where he grew up. He was a speed skater at the Ice Chalet. He built his own first car. He was the kind of guy you wanted around whether to build you a deck, pull you out of a ditch, or just sit around and shoot the crap.

He died March 5,2023. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna by just 17 days, and his mother and father, Camille and Sonny Lanford in 2016. He was the last of the Lanford family line. He leaves behind his sisters, Gwendolyn Lanford and Marcelyn (Phil) Kirby; nephews, Vance (Ria) Kirby and Cody Kirby.

He requested there be no funeral service. His family can be contacted through Facebook.
