Obituary for Cora L. (Jarvis) Seal

CORA LUCINDA JARVIS SEAL, age 98, of Washburn, TN passed away at home on Friday, July 3, 2020. She was a member of Mount Eager Missionary Baptist Church. Cora retired in 1991 as a CNA at Hillcrest Nursing Home. For over twenty plus years thereafter, she continued as a private caregiver for many people in the community. She was often seen outside working in her yard and flowers, which she was so proud of. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and spending time with her family. Cora was a devoted mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family. Preceded in death by husband, Paul Mack Seal; son, Harold D. Seal; parents, Arlie and Hattie B. Jarvis; sisters, Stella Jarvis, Edith (Henry) Thomas, and Mildred (Jacob) Haynes; brother, Clay Jarvis; brothers-in-law, Bob Thomas and Fred Mincey.

She is survived by sons, Paul Ray (Wati) Seal, and Larry (Patricia) Seal; daughter-in-law, Connie Seal Ayers; grandchildren, Stacey (Britt) Farrar, P. R. Seal, Rhonda (Greg) McAnally, Deana (Rick) Bowlin, Damon (Misty) Seal, Shawn Seal, and Rachel Seal; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Abby Eggers, Gage Farrar, Tristan and Ethan McAnally, Conner, Rikelle, and Kara Bowlin, Halli, Layla, and Lucy Seal; great-great-grandchildren, Ashton Millington, Kaidy and Kambri Kincer; sisters, Ruth Thomas of Knoxville, Easter Mincey of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Lou Ann Jarvis. Special thanks to her caregivers, Emma McMillion, Kendra Barnard, Linda Stephens, and historical caregivers, Rachel Ingle, Carolyn Johnson, and Jenny Beeler.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Gary Donehew officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Cooke Campbell Mortuary to proceed to Liberty Hill Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service. Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Seal, Damon Seal, P. R. Seal, Tristan McAnally, Ethan McAnally, and Gage Farrar. Honorary pallbearer will be Ashton Millington.
