Obituary for Daryl Wayne Valentine

Daryl Wayne Valentine-age 75 of Knoxville (Halls Community) went to be with his Lord Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022 at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans Home. Daryl was a minister of the Christian faith. He loved to play his guitar and sing with his wife, Linda. Daryl was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired employee of Y12 at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Kathleen (Howard) Valentine.

Survivors: wife of 21 years, Linda (Beeler) Valentine; daughters, Tammy (Brent) Allen, Rhonda (Tony) Carpenter; three grandchildren, Brooke Venkatraman and husband, Sai; C. J. James and fiancée, Chelsea Anderson; Abby Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Ryleigh. Sister, Gale Dunsmore-Rhea and husband, Stanley; brother, Steve Valentine and wife, L’Rae. Nieces, Kim (Artie) Davis, Kristi (Bill) Ballew; nephew, Jonathan Valentine; great-niece, Hannah Ballew; great-nephew, Logan (Khloe) Davis; great-great-niece, Rivers Wren Davis.

Military graveside service 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920, Rev. Gary Donehew officiating. Military rites by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
