Obituary for David Lynn Hurst
David L. Hurst-age 72 of Maynardville went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home. He was a member and deacon of Raccoon Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Jim and Ruby Hurst; one sister, Kay Evans; six brothers, Johnny, Bud, Jerry, Ben, Bob and Sonny Hurst.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Wilma Jean Hurst; children, Dan (Amanda) Hurst, Lora (Tim) Ray, Mindy (Justin) Buckner, Rachael (Victor) Sylvia; 11 grandchildren, Kristina, Daniel, Timothy, Jeremiah, Dillon, Kalei, Rylee, Ethan, Jordyn, Allie and Luke; three great-grandchildren, Anna Jean, Lynnsi and Bethany. One sister, Sandy (Mike) Hatfield; two brothers, Bill Hurst, Rick (Betty) Hurst along with a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Raccoon Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 156 Durham Drive, Maynardville, Tennessee with Rev. Elbert Hunley officiating and music by The Valley Boys and Amanda Hurst. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
