Obituary for Douglas Lynn Heifner
Douglas Lynn Heifner-age 68 of Corryton went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church; a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1969 and a U. S. Army Veteran serving 1973 – 1979. Preceded in death by parents, Horace Clasco and Anna (Weaver) Heifner; sister, Mary Jane Heifner; brother, Ralph “Hotshot” Heifner.
Survivors: son, John D. Heifner and wife, Gina; daughter, Deanna Anderson and husband, Sidney, all of Maynardville; four grandchildren, Samantha Windham, Devin Heifner, Joshua Windham and Kaylie Heifner. Brother, Jimmy Heifner and wife, Rickie of Powell; sister-in-law, Bonnie Faye Heifner. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, Hines Creek Cemetery, Maynardville with military honors presented by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, consideration for donations toward funeral expenses would be appreciated. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
