Obituary for Ella Mae Roberts

Ella Mae Roberts-age 88 of Knoxville (formerly of Corryton) passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home. She was a member of Nehemiah Church. She was a devoted Christian who served the Lord, alongside of her husband, in Christian ministry over several decades. She leaves an incredible legacy of service and love for others for all of us to follow. She was a dedicated employee of the Halls Wal-Mart, Jewelry Department, retiring after 15 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 wonderful years William “Pete” Roberts, daughter, Rebecca Gray, sons, William “Bill”, and Mark Anthony Roberts, infant great- grandson Gavin Anthony Roberts; parents, Frank and Mildred Anderson; sister, Sheryle Tyson; brothers, Robert, Paul and Lynn Anderson.

Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Gary Cooper; son Richard “Tim” Roberts; grandchildren, Shawn Proffitt, Rebecca (Doug) Hill, Michelle (Aaron) Wilkerson, Gary (Desirae) Cooper, Troy and Thomas “TJ” Roberts; Great -Grandchildren, Abigail and Andrew Proffitt, Austin Brown, Dustin (Tatum) Hill, Jessica (Kevin) Haley, Kayla (Richie) Ryan, Hannah Collins, Emery and Peyton Cooper, Courtney and Whitney Roberts, and 6 great-great grandchildren; Sisters, Laverne Bates, Johnnie McCurry, Meryle Kitts, Jenny Brown, Beverly (Tip) Bailey; Brothers, Jeryle Anderson and Jimmy (Mickie) Anderson; Special Friend, Boyd Acuff. She was Aunt Ella to a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Monday, February 22, 2021 with
funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Monday at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Maynardville with Rev. Shawn Proffitt and Rev Richie Turner officiating. Graveside services 12 noon Tuesday, Luttrell Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers: Doug Hill, Aaron Wilkerson, Gary Cooper II, Austin Brown, Troy Roberts and T.J. Roberts. Honorary Pallbearer: Peyton Cooper.
