Obituary for Franklin Dee Grimes
Franklin Dee Grimes-age 68 of Maynardville passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his home. Dee was a member of the Voices for Jesus Baptist Church and a retired employee of Union County Highway Department with over 40 years of service. Preceded in death by wife, Naomi Grimes; parents, Edward and Sally Grimes; sisters,
Helen Jordan, Lucille Russell and Shirley Noland; step-son, Scott Braden.
Survivors: son, Franklin D. Grimes, II; brothers, David, Joe and Randy Grimes; step-children, Robin (Gary) Flynn, Daris Braden, Misty Little, Monty (Missy) Walker; special grandson, Michael Walker. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Monty Walker officiating. Music by Missy Walker, Lisa Corum and Cindy Collins. Interment 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Haun Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 p.m. Thursday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Eric Vaulton, Devin Vaulton, Clayton Helms, Brian Grimes, David Cox, J. C. Ray. Honorary Pallbearers: Employees of Union County Highway Department. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
