Obituary for Gilliam David Boothe III

Gilliam David Boothe, III-age 64 of Sharps Chapel went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday evening, October 6, 2020. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Halls. He was an electrician and employed through I.B.E.W. Local Union 760. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather who loved to play guitar and loved his furry companion, Marlee. Preceded in death by parents, Gilliam David, Jr. and Mattie Lee Boothe.

Survivors: wife of 43 years, Emma K. “Kuykendall” Boothe of Sharps Chapel; daughters, Shelley A. Johnson and husband, Justin of Corryton; Lindsey M. White of Maynardville; Chelsey N. Walker and husband, Steven of Knoxville; Alicia R. Mills of Knoxville. Grandchildren, Jacob and Katheryn Johnson; Savannah and Emmalynn White; Desaray, Brentson and Malorie Walker. Sisters, Shirley Lynn; Sharon Lakins and husband, Sonny; brother, George “Tommy” Rochelle. Several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law along with a host of friends to include his friends at work. Special friends, Doug Cassidy, Vic Rogers, Chad Oaks, David Stiner and fellow I.B.E.W. employees.

Family and friends will meet by 3:45 P.M. Friday at Fort Sumpter Community Cemetery, Knoxville for a graveside service to be held at 4 P.M. Friday, Rev. John Holland officiating. Pallbearers will include, Vic Rogers, Chad Oaks, David Stiner, Brentson Walker, Darrell Henshaw, Michael Harness. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
