Goldie Mae Starnes-age 92 of Washburn passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Diversicare of Claiborne after a progressive disease of dementia. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Emerson Starnes; daughter, Martha Jo Hill; parents, Clayton and Rosie Bailey.

Survivors: granddaughter, April (Jason) Warren; step-grandchildren, David (Becky) Hill; Shannon (Keith) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Craig, Daniel (Heather), Bradley (Ashley); Joshua (Katy) Warren; Sarah and Macy Hill; Sean and Seth Lindsey; great-great-grandchildren, Rilee, Spencer, Mason, Eden, Rainn and Hanna; son-in-law, Walter R. Hill.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley, Rev. Greg Hurst officiating with music by the Williams Family. . Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Saturday to go in the procession. Pallbearers: Daniel Warren, Bradley Warren, Joshua Warren, Ryan Kidd, Nathan Felosi and Mark Williams. Honorary pallbearers: Terry Bell, Ronnie Munsey, Gary Stephens, Sam Dyer. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the funeral home or to April to help with funeral expenses.
