Obituary for J. B. (Jake) Stooksbury

J. B. (Jake) Stooksbury-age 90 of Sharps Chapel passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at The Waters of Clinton. He was a retired employee of the TVA Bull Run Steam Plant and was a U. S. Navy Veteran with four years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Platt and Willie Stooksbury; two brothers, Loren and Cuble Stooksbury; four sisters, Dorothy Stooksbury; Joann Rouse; Emma Jean Stooksbury, Corrine George.

Survivors: one son, Tommy Lynn Stooksbury and special friend, Pam; four grandchildren, Jakob, Thomas, Saddie and Gage all of Sharps Chapel. One sister and brother-in-law, Mary Nelle and Robert Vandagriff of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the caregiver, Mrs. Della Weaver and Hospice (Kayla) for their care.

Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Loyston Cemetery, Andersonville, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go with the funeral procession. You may sign the register book anytime Tuesday. Pallbearers: Jacob Stooksbury, Thomas Stooksbury, Gage Stooksbury, Pick Weaver, Barry McMillan, Jerry Rouse. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
