Obituary for James Alan Brummitt

James Alan Brummitt-age 57 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at his home. He was a member of The Church of Christ, Hickory Valley Road. Alan was the owner/operator of James Brummitt Construction Company and has a host of caring and loyal employees and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, father, James W. (Bill) Brummitt and mother, Marjorie L. Brummitt; brother, Andrew Joseph (Joe) Brummitt.

Survivors: wife, Donna Brummitt; son, J. J. Brummitt; brothers, William Dean Brummitt and wife, Tiffany; Timothy Paul Brummitt; sisters, Susan Williams and husband, Don; Betty McPhetridge and husband, Chuck; Linda Lee Houston; Cathy Hoskins and Mack Walker; special nephew, Coty Muncey; mother-in-law, Helen Nicley; sister-in-law, Debbie Nicley; brother-in-law, Richard Nicley. Illinois family of special aunts, uncles and cousins. Several nieces and nephews. Special friends: Ryan Arthur, Casey Moore, David and Susan Cox.

The body of Mr. Brummitt will lie in state 9 A.M. Till 5 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2020, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville were friends may call at their convenience. Family and friends will meet at the Butcher Cemetery, Maynardville at 1:45 P.M. Sunday, March 29, 2020 for graveside services at 2 P.M. Sunday, Rev. Canaan Blankenship officiating. Pallbearers: J. J. Brummitt, Coty Muncey, Ryan Arthur, Casey Moore, Austin Dunn, Richard Nicley; Honorary Pallbearers: Gary Moore and Ashley Moore. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
