Jan W. Mahaffey, 52, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in Knoxville, TN. Jan's struggles are over. She is now at peace in Heaven with her loved ones. Jan was born on April 27, 1968, in Knoxville. She attended Halls High School and Tennessee School of Beauty. Jan worked as a manicurist for several years in Knoxville. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Don E. Mahaffey and Reed T. Mahaffey, her brother, Eric Mahaffey; her grandparents, William A. and Theo R. Temple; Harvey and Ruth Whitson, her aunt, Carol Baumann and her cousin, Danny Crosland.

Jan is survived by her twin sister, Jill Southers of Knoxville, and her constant companion, Sadie, her dog. Also survived by her nephews, Justin and Austin Southers, both of Knoxville, her aunts, Jan Thompson, Knoxville, and Judy Wilson, Ooltewah, TN. Jan leaves her cousins, Mark and Glen Baumann of Knoxville, and Brad Baumann of Savannah, GA. Jan will always be missed by her family and friends who loved her.

A graveside service 6:30 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville, Tennessee with Ted Greene speaking. Because of Jan's love for animals,
in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jan's memory to Young-Williams Animal Center, 3201 Division St., Knoxville, TN 37919.
