Obituary for Joe Odell Coffey Jr.
Joe Odell Coffey, Jr-age 79 of Luttrell passed away Sunday afternoon, March 26,2023, at his home. He was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church. Joe was a retired employee of Great Dane Trailers with 39 years 9 months of service.
Preceded in death by daughter, April Gilliam; parents, Joe and Ruby (Myers) Coffey; sister, Janet Dyer.
Survivors: wife of 59 years, Barbara Rutherford Coffey; daughter, Donna Heatherly and husband Marvin; son, Tony Neal Coffey; grandchildren, Brandon Heatherly, Danielle Heatherly, Gage Gilliam, Devin Gilliam; great-grandchild, Bryson Heatherly; sisters, Alice Hodge of Blaine, Linda Dixon and husband Donnie of Blaine, Cathy Majors and husband Mike of Blaine, Jerri Spencer and husband Randy of North Carolina, Elaine Palmer and husband Jimmy of Mascot, Gail Bolin of Strawberry Plains; brothers, Ralph Coffey and wife Martha of Luttrell, Steve Coffey and wife Carolyn of Corryton along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, March 28,2023, with funeral to follow at 7 PM, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel Rev. Joe Bailey and Rev. Herb Coffey officiating. Interment 12 PM Wednesday March 29, 2023, Grainger Memorial Gardens, Rutledge. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 11:45 AM Wednesday. Pallbearers: Chris Rutherford, Justin Rutherford, Darrell Roach, Jeremy Cureton, Stevie Woods, Shannon Coffey, Jay Singleton. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
