John Marvin Paul-age 78 of LaFollette passed away Saturday morning, January 16, 2021 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. He was a member of Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church, LaFollette and was a retired automobile mechanic. He loved to work on classic cars and was an avid fisherman. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. John was one of 15 children of which nine have preceded him in death along with his parents, Lawrence and Edith (Collins) Paul; wife, Laura (Rutherford) Paul; granddaughter, Laura Ellen.

Survivors: daughter, Tammy Cox; sons, Johnny Paul; Stacy Paul and wife, Donna; daughter, Debra Brown and husband, Jeff; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Cleland and husband, Jessie; Maranda Towne and husband, Dustin; Marissa Paul, Jeffery Brown, Eric Brown, Jacob Brown, Tiffany Brown. Nine great-grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Jo Bell and husband, Clyde; Jenny Bell and Brenda Sue Grant; brothers, Charlie Paul and Clinton Paul. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Graveside service 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 Newt Cook Family Cemetery, Maynardville with Brother Larry Russell officiating and music by the Collins Family. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 12 Noon to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Jeffery Brown, Eric Brown, Jacob Brown, Jessie Cleland, Scott Williams, Chris Herrell. The body may be viewed 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. Tuesday at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
