Obituary for Judy Ann Blakley Najar

Judy Ann (Blakley) Najar-age 69 of Maynardville passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. Judy was an avid reader and dedicated her life to the Union County Humane Society. She loved to work in her flower garden and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by parents, William (Dub) Blakley and Aileen Boshears “Mamie” Blakley; son-in-law, Shane Smith.

Survivors: husband of 23 years, Fred J. Najar of Maynardville; two daughters, Rachel Ann Hubbs of Tazewell; Meleaia Beth Smith of Corryton; two grandsons, Sebastian Cappibianca of New York; Adam Smith of Powell; step-daughter, Angela Najar of Pigeon Forge; sister, Yvonne West and husband, Jim of Helenwood, TN; brother-in-law, Kenneth Najar; sisters-in-law, Ann Baumgardner and Josephine Cavander; special nieces and nephew, Chanda, Harper, Jessica and James. Judy had three loving cats, Dexter, Lucy and Bitsy.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jim West, Rev. Jeff Davis officiating with music by Victoria Branam.

The body will lie in state 10 till 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at White Rock Baptist Church, 2703 Baker Highway, Huntsville, TN. The funeral procession will then proceed to Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood, TN for a graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Adam Smith, Anthony Lay, Donald Wayne Boshears, James West, Trent Phillips, Jeff Davis. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Union County Humane Society.
