Obituary for Kenneth Doyle Brown
Kenneth Doyle Brown, age 73, went to join his Heavenly Father on May 21, 2023. He was born and raised in Luttrell, TN. He served his country as a Sergeant E5 in the Army during the Vietnam War. After an honorable discharge, he worked at Ready Mix Concrete. He later owned and operated Ken Brown Excavating. He retired in 2018, and his son took over the business. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Dyer; sister, Mary Dyer; best friends, Kenneth Williams and Jay Atkins.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya Atkins; sister, Betty Cox; sister, Jean Klemman (John); son, Kenneth “Dink” Brown (Christy); daughter, Cathy Adams; stepson, Cory Jones (Natalie); granddaughter, Kenley Brown; grandson, Keaton Brown; step-grandson, Hayden Jones. The family would like to thank Taylor Sizemore from Senior Helpers and the nurses from Covenant Hospice.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville. Military graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Dyer Cemetery, Luttrell with Rev. Travis Proffitt officiating, Military honors by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard and The Tennessee National Guard. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Jamie Boggs, Kenneth Brown, Jay Collins, Reece Walker, Rick Walker, Danny Watts; Honorary Pallbearers: Stephen Hamilton, Cory Jones, Frankie Sexton. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
