Larry E. Hensley, Sr.-age 71 of Luttrell went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a member and Deacon for 35 years of Jim Town Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew J., Sr. and Mossie L. (Muncey) Hensley; son, Larry E. Hensley, Jr.; brothers, William “Dick” Hensley, Andrew (A. J.) Hensley, Gene Hensley; father and mother-in-law, Estel and Juanita Kitts.

Survivors: wife and best friend of 52 years, Carolyn (Kitts) Hensley; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tony Brown; grandchildren, Kasey and Doug Crawford, Ashley Brown, Ryan Kingrey; Shane Brown and Megan Huffman. Great-grandchildren, Trina and Jase Crawford, Vincin Kingrey. Brothers and sisters, J. D. Hensley and wife, Jessie; Bill Hensley, Eddie Hensley and wife, Sharon, Mildred Brooks, Jackie Wyrick and husband, Ray; Janice Kitts and husband, Doyle. Several nieces, nephews and cousins along with a host of friends.

Graveside service and interment 3 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021, Baker Cemetery, Luttrell, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 2 p.m. Thursday to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Joe Kitts, Billy Hensley, Jr., Tony Brown, Shane Brown, Gabriel Kitts, Andrew Kitts, Ethan Hensley. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
