Martha Jane Powers-age 77 of Knoxville passed away Sunday morning, January 15, 2023 at U. T. Medical Center. She was a member of Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle on Magnolia Avenue. She was employed as a cashier with Walmart at Walker Springs Road, Knoxville for over 10 years and had previously worked at Chick-fil-A on the U. T. Campus. She was preceded in death by parents, Sterley and Josie (Jordon) Davis; sisters, Lucy Ann Davis, Helen Davis, Evelyn Graves, Estelle Shillings; brothers, Joe Davis and Ralph Davis.

She is survived by a son, David A. Powers, Jr. and wife, Anna of Murfreesboro; a daughter, Olivia R. Sisson and husband, Joe of Maryland; five grandchildren, Olivia Powers; Kady Powers; Abbey Grauberger and husband, Matthew; Ally McElroy and husband, Andrew; Parker Hurley. Sister, Nancy Weaver and husband, Charles of Tazewell; brother, Frank Davis of New Tazewell. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

Graveside service and interment 2 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Leabow Cemetery, Lone Mountain, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1 p.m. Friday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Family and friends. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
