Marvin Stanley McCarty-age 58 of Sharps Chapel passed away Thursday morning, December 19, 2019 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a devoted Christian. Preceded in death by father, Herschel McCarty; brothers, James “J. D.” McCarty, Daniel McCarty and infant twin brothers who died at birth.

Survivors: wife, Robin McCarty, Sharps Chapel; sons, Ivan McCarty and wife, Kasey of Cookeville; Jesse McCarty of Sharps Chapel; step-son, Jared McCarty; mother, Anna Lou McCarty of Sharps Chapel; sister, Teresa Brooks of Tazewell; grandchildren, Layla McCarty, Kayden McCarty and Kennedy Ray McCarty. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Saturday, December 21, 2019 with funeral services to follow at 7 P.M. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating.

Interment 10 A.M. Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Cox Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Please meet at the cemetery. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
