Matthew Allen Butcher, II-age 24 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Friday morning, July 15, 2022. He was a much-loved employee of McDonald’s in Maynardville. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend who always had a smile on his face and wanted everyone to be happy. Preceded in death by father, Matthew Allen Butcher.

Survivors: mother, Sonya Sue Butcher and Kenneth Roach; sister, Samantha Pass and husband, Donald; niece and nephew, Sabrina and Bubba; grandfather, James “Bo” Butcher; grandmothers, Robin and Gary Flynn, Susan Harrell; great-grandmother, Bonnie Fay Heifner; uncle, Donald “D.J.” Butcher; aunt, Candace Brock. Special friends, Destiny Cary, Chris Wilder and Noah White. Matthew was loved by many friends and all of his family.

The family will receive friends 12 till 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell mortuary Chapel, Rev. Terry Chesney, Rev. Ronald Chesney officiating. Interment will follow at Hines Creek Church Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Chris Wilder, Donald Pass, Kenneth Roach, Donald Butcher, Noah White, James Butcher. Honorary Pallbearer: Aaron Dyer.
