Obituary for Nancy Jeanette Collins Carter
Nancy Jeanette (Collins) Carter, age 78 of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at Willow Ridge Center surrounded by her family. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by parents, Rev. Conley and Lillian Collins; brothers, John, Robert, and Jerry Collins; sisters, Gaynell Cox, Mary Tolliver, and Shirley Collins; brothers-in-law, John, Charles, and Tony Carter.
She is survived by her husband, James Carter; daughter, Melissa (Mark) Dykes; grand-daughters, Cassie, and Katie Dykes; sisters, Shelia (Kenny) Mason, Anne (Larry) Walker, Renee (Loren) Davis; brothers, Jack, Paul (Jean Ann), Bill (Emma), Dale, Phil (Chantay), and Benny Collins; sisters-in-law, Sheila Collins, Barbara Keck, Crickett Carter, and Fran Carter; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jason Walker officiating with music by Cassie and Katie Dykes. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27th at Taylors Grove Cemetery in Sharps Chapel. Pallbearers will be her brothers. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Willow Ridge Center in Maynardville. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
