Obituary for Pearlie Marie (Nicley) Hamic-Gourley

Pearlie Marie Hamic-Gourley - age 89 of Washburn passed away Friday morning, April 7, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God of the Union Assembly, Luttrell. She loved the Lord and she talked about God all the time. She prayed for everyone she met. Preceded in death by husband, Elec Hamic; Son, Buster Hamic; Daughter, JoyceAnn Hamic-Sisk, sons-in-law, Paul Welch & Bobby Sisk; parents, Clyde & Della Mae Nicley; brother, Billie Joe Nicley, Granddaughters, Renee Nicley & Kathy Majors.

Survivors: daughter, Maurine Welch, of Knoxville; son, Chucky Hamic, of Knoxville; sister: Ruth Scott and husband, Jr, of Washburn; Opal Messer of Washburn; brother: James Nicely of Washburn. Eight grandchildren: Stephen Welch and wife, Emily of Knoxville; Shane Lemons and husband, Dean of Powder Springs; Roxann Long and husband, Clyde of Luttrell; Troy Majors and wife, Cristina of Powder Springs; Travis Hamic and wife, Tabitha of Tater Valley; Kellie Hamic of Knoxville; Cody Hamic of Powder Springs; Mathew Freeman Hamic of Knoxville; 19 great grandchildren: Colby, Kandi, Chad, Jody, Jessica, Tommy, Christopher, Dillon, Mitchell, Landon, Addy, Kailey, Trent, Logan, Brandon, Katy, Kylor, Isaiah, (and one more on the way); 12 great-great grandchildren: Anastasia, Adryonia, Arabella, Mia, Zoe, Aleah, Malachi, Zachariah, Logan, Mahayla, Frankie, Addie. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. LeBrandon Marie officiating with music by the church singers. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Neal Cemetery, Powder Springs. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Wednesday to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Travis Hamic, Stephen Welch, Colby Nicely, Chad Lemons, Jody Lemons, Troy Majors. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
