Ralph Sharp age 87 of New Tazewell was born July 24, 1935 and passed away February 10, 2023 at home peacefully in his sleep. He served his country in the Army for 7 years. He was owner of Sharps Grading Contractors for over 50 years, where he worked with his loving son and grandson. Ralph married Mildred Rosson August 15, 1958. He was a loving family man and enjoyed telling many stories over the years with his friends. Ralph was a member and deacon of Head of Barren Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pascal and Alma Sharp. Son Mikel Ralph Sharp. Sisters Bessie (Doyle) Johnson, Hilda Braden, Dottie Williams, and brother James Claude Sharp. Brothers-in-law Glen (Hilda) Rosson, Kermit Walker.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Sharp. Grandson Justin (Jessica) Sharp. Granddaughter Natalie Sharp. Great grandsons Lane Epperson and Mason Sharp. Daughter-in-law Tracey Sharp. Sisters Lorene Collins, Joyce (Wayne) Lee. Brothers Luna (Martha) Sharp, Monteray Sharp, Bob (Fred) Sharp. Sister-in-laws Ann Walker, Valalee (Lee) Smith, Angela Sharp. Brother-in-law James Braden.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary from 12 PM to 2 PM with funeral services to follow at 2 PM with the Rev Greg Sharp and the Rev Larry Beeler officiating. Music will be provided by Richard Collins and Family.Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery New Tazewell.
