Obituary for Sheila J. (Brown) Chesney

Sheila J. (Brown) Chesney-age 55 of Washburn went to be with the Lord, Friday morning, September 23, 2022 at her home. She was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church and a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1985. She was the owner/operator of Sheila’s Hair Fashions. Preceded in death by parents, Glen and Donna (Bailey) Brown.

Survivors: Husband of 37 years, Richie Chesney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Diane Brown; Bobby and Amanda Brown; father-in-law, John Chesney; mother-in-law, Helen Cook; one niece, Rebecca Brown; two nephews, Steve Brown and Austin Brown; two great-nephews, Baylin Brown and Zion Brown. Several aunts, uncles and cousins along with a host of friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Covenant Hospice and their staff of nurses for their loving care of Sheila; also, all the friends and neighbors who helped during this time.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Monday, Walton Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home to go with the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Ricky Epperson, Keith Wolfenbarger, Steven Brown, Roy Crawford, Cliff Crawford, Randy Brown. Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Muncey, Chuck Beeler.
