Obituary for Stelmo Estell Dalton Branson

Stelmo Estell (Dalton) Branson-age 85 of Washburn passed away Saturday morning, January 22, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Tazewell, Tennessee. She was born September 11, 1936 the daughter of the late Walter B. and Sarah Jane (Atkins) Dalton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul E. Branson; daughters, Donna M. Throesch and Doris E. Curran; brothers, Hubert Stanley Dalton, Aaron “Boot” Buford Dalton, Bedford Conley Dalton and Elvin Burnace Dalton, Fernly Clifford Dalton; sisters, Thelma Dalton Collins, Reva Mae Dalton Wilmouth. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Puncheon Camp Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan. Stelmo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved to make sure everyone had food to eat who visited her home.

Survivors: daughter, Debbie and Sammie Fultz of Tazewell; step-daughter, Debra and Mike Searing of Clarkston, Michigan, sons-in-law, Mike Throesch of Bristol, Indiana; Richard Dick Curran of Washburn. 11 Grandchildren, Michael Throesch, Jr., Chad Gomez, Adam and Stochia Bailey, Dirk and Angela Morrison, David and Angela Gann, Chris and Olivia Bailey, Cynthia Gillis, Jason and Melissa Renner, Paul and Katrina Dziepak, Dan and Jessica Krug, Danielle Burt; 29 Great-Grandchildren; two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Brother, Eldon Shirley Dalton of Bean station. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends. Stelmo is truly loved and will be sorely missed. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Caris Healthcare, Knoxville office for their assistance and to her caregiver, Gretchen Jones who Stelmo thought of as a grandchild.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Ricky Dalton officiating with music by Rick Dalton, Jr. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Fairview Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Wednesday to go with the procession. Pallbearers: grandson and nephews: Eric Manning, Aidan Manning, Adam Bailey, Michael Throesch, Jr., Verlyn Dalton, Dillon Renner. Honorary Pallbearers: Stanley Dalton, Wesley Dalton, Johnny Manning.
